Orlando — The International Alliance for Christian Education will gather here February 12-14 in an inaugural series of meetings designed to set the course for the new organization’s immediate future.
The group’s board of directors meets February 12 and then a larger group of about 95 representatives from 40 institutions and 20 organizations will take part in six IACE meeting sessions February 13 and 14.
Those meetings include: Cultural Witness (session one), Confessional Commitments (session two) Time of Dedication and Commitment (session three), Collaboration, Professional Development and Innovation (session four), and Next Steps (session five) on February 13. A sixth session, Cultural, Intercultural and International Engagement, immediately precedes adjournment on February 14.
The IACE also will meet in a plenary session with the Association for Biblical Higher Education, which is scheduled to meet at the Rosen Plaza Hotel during that time.
“We will have representation from the Northeast, Midwest, Northwest, West Coast, Southwest, and Southeast, as well as international participants,” IACE president David S. Dockery said. “It truly is encouraging.”
Dockery also expresses thanks for event sponsors, including GuideStone Financial Resources, Impact 360 Institute, Christian Education Group, Anedot, B&H Publishing Group, Crossway, Seeds Global Innovation Labs, and NXTPG.
“We are genuinely hopeful for the work of the International Alliance for Christian Education and truly thankful for the joyful privilege and opportunity through IACE to serve these significant institutions and organizations,” Dockery said. “We are trusting for the Lord to grant us blessing and favor for this most significant inaugural gathering.”
