The conference attracted 150 attendees from across the United States and as far away as Africa. It was an attendance record for the event, now in its fifth year.

It is traditional for all IACE conferences to begin with recitation of the Nicene Creed. Ashley L. Allen of Southwestern Seminary led the group.

IACE president David S. Dockery presided over the conference, which featured six plenary sessions, a panel discussion and 12 breakout sessions from Wednesday, May 21 to Friday, May 23.
