Job Summary: :

Under the supervision of the Vice President for Business Affairs, the Director of Financial Aid strategically leads the University’s comprehensive student financial assistance programs. This includes the allocation of institutional, federal, state, and external aid programs, supporting the University’s mission by providing information and services to MBU’s internal and external constituents, thus serving as a vital component of enrollment management efforts. The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the overall administration, direction, and supervision of the Financial Aid Office and Student Accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and recommend policies and procedures of the Financial Services Office to ensure institutional quality control and effective administration of financial aid funds.
• Supervising of Financial Services Office, trains, and evaluates department staff; works with staff to assign responsibilities, determines department priorities and procedures, and ensures cross-training occurs.
• Monitor, inform, and implement changes in federal and state regulations as they relate to the Financial Services Office.

• Work with the Director of Campus Management Systems to ensure optimum performance of the CAMS database, and strategically drive changes to promote efficient automation of financial services processes.
• Assist in the development, supervision, and control of various budgets administered by the Financial Aid Office.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting, liberal arts, or related field
• Five or more years of financial aid experience, or combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position

Preferred Education/Experience:
• Master’s degree in accounting, business, student affairs or public administration.
• Three or more years of work experience in providing supervision or leadership to a financial aid department or related department in a higher education setting.
• Completion of three or more NASFAA Professional Credentials.
• A Financial Aid Director with technical expertise in Student Information Systems (SIS) is critical in managing and optimizing financial aid operations within an educational institution. Their responsibilities blend financial aid administration with technology management, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and student support
