Job Summary:

The Counseling and Psychology Department at Toccoa Falls College invites applications for a full-time faculty position starting August 1, 2026. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The department seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to join our faculty in the development, instruction, and oversight of courses that are part of the criminal justice program.

Job Responsibilities:

TASKS:
In addition to responsibilities related to the instruction of courses, the faculty member will work with the chair of the Counseling and Psychology department and dean of the School of Arts and Sciences to oversee the Criminal Justice program at Toccoa Falls. The faculty member will also serve as an academic advisor and serve on academic committees.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Applicants must have a strong background in criminal justice. Candidates should demonstrate experience in higher education, skills in curriculum design, a commitment to teaching excellence, ability to respond to the different needs of students, excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, a commitment to strong record keeping and scholarly potential. Evidence of a vibrant Christian faith and a sincere commitment to the mission of Toccoa Falls College are essential.

Job Requirements:
A PhD in the field of criminal justice or criminology is preferred, but highly qualified candidates with a master’s degree in the field will be considered. Prior undergraduate teaching experience is highly desirable.
