Job Summary:

Charleston Southern University invites applications for a faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor) in the College of Education beginning August 2026. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning. Rank is commensurate with experience.
The education faculty teaches a broad range of elementary and secondary education administration courses, including leadership, legal and ethical environments in schools, Human Resources and Finance, student advising, college and university committee membership, and recruitment of new students. The applicant must be able to collaborate with graduate faculty to maintain program excellence and coherence. They also must develop and maintain a scholarly trajectory that includes publications and presentations. Applicant must have a record of exemplary experience as a school administrator with state certification.

Job Responsibilities:

Teach 24 semester hours per academic year; follow university policies related to instruction; attend and participate in departmental and university functions; and serve on committees as required. Quality K-12 teaching and campus principal experience are required.

Job Requirements: A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education is required.
