School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Biola University - Fall 2026
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology beginning August 2026. We are seeking an individual who will join our faculty in contributing to the training of future sociologists through teaching, research, mentorship, and the integration of faith and sociology.

Hiring Range: $82,047 - $96,134
Job Responsibilities: Role and Responsibilities
Teach courses in undergraduate concentrations (Criminology, Social Work, Sociology)
Engage in scholarship that reflects both scientific rigor and a commitment to the integration of Sociology and Christian Theology
Participate in departmental service, professional development, and spiritual community life.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Sociology preferred
Strong record or potential for excellence in teaching and research
Commitment to mentoring and supporting students
Demonstrated interest in and capacity to integrate sociology and Christian Theology
