Our Mission

IACE’s mission is to unify, synergize, and strengthen collective conviction around biblical orthodoxy and orthopraxy, cultural witness, scholarship, professional excellence, and resourcing of Christian education at all levels.

Our Focus

IACE’s priorities focus on connecting presidents and senior-level leaders, as well as developing younger leaders. It encourages research related to issues and trends that have a direct impact on Christian higher education, and develop alliances for addressing public policy and cultural engagement within the public square. The goal is to strengthen collective conviction around biblical orthodoxy and orthopraxy, cultural witness, scholarship, professional excellence, and resourcing of Christian education at all levels -- vital elements in IACE’s vision for intellectual discipleship and biblical worldview formation.

next generation LEADERSHIp DEVELOPMENT

Alliance partners recognize that present-day experience forms the foundation for tomorrow’s leadership. Therefore, a primary goal of the work is to provide opportunities for younger leaders to assume meaningful roles in the most important discussions of our time.

research and advocacy

Timely responses to difficult questions often hinge on finding fresh, relevant information. In this data-driven age, IACE takes a lead role in providing factual foundations for compelling arguments that can shape better policy and practice.

strengthen scholarship

Our institutions seek to reclaim and strengthen the Christian intellectual tradition that led to the founding of America’s most prestigious colleges and universities more than three centuries ago. This requires supporting effective teaching, faithful service and engaging the culture with Christian worldview thinking.

encouragement and connection

Our partners enjoy fellowship and cooperation, enabling the work of Christian higher education and advancing cross-cultural and intercultural education. Enriching faith, scholarship, teaching, learning, and service is vital to IACE’s vision for intellectual discipleship and biblical worldview formation.

Through IACE, Christian education’s many separate networks can discover and model what it means to affirm and live out “in essentials unity, in nonessentials liberty, in all things love.” IACE is a visionary initiative with an audacious promise.
— Robert C. Andringa, President Emeritus, Council for Christian Colleges & Universities
