FORT WORTH - Online registration is now open for the Eighth Annual International Alliance for Christian Education Conference, scheduled for February 3-5, 2027 at the Riley Conference Center on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.
The registration fee of $490/person includes all sessions and meals. Spouses receive the same benefits for an additional $100.
The conference will begin with workshops on Wednesday afternoon of February 3, with the first plenary session taking place after dinner on that evening. The conference will conclude at noon on Friday, February 5.
“We have an extraordinary lineup of speakers and participants,” IACE president David S. Dockery said. “I believe the forthcoming February conference could be our best yet,” Dockery said.
Among the speakers scheduled to make presentations are 10 prominent scholars who will address key issues in the field of higher education:
Will Inboden, provost and executive vice president, as well as the Powers Chair of History and Civic Leadership, at the University of Texas, one of the leading voices shaping conversations about the work of higher education in the 21st century, will be speaking on the future of higher education.
Meghan Sullivan, Wilsey Family College Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Institute for the Common Good at the University of Notre Dame directs the multi-million dollar, Lilly Foundation-sponsored project at Notre Dame on artificial intelligence,. She will speak on the ever-expanding issues related to this vital topic.
Kevin Vanhoozer, Blanchard Professor of Theology at Wheaton College, one of the leading evangelical thinkers of this generation, will examine key matters such as reading nature, culture, and Scripture from a theological perspective.
The topic of accreditation has become a growing conversation among the IACE constituency. Two leading voices on this topic will provide insights, including Lisa Beaty, Executive Director of the Commission on Accreditation for the Association of Biblical Higher Education, and Rob Manzer, President of the National Association for Academic Excellence.
Jesse Rine, Executive Director of the Center for Academic Faithfulness and Flourishing, will present timely research projects at CAFF. James Emery White, a prolific author and senior pastor at the Mecklenburg Community Church in North Carolina, will address church, culture, and Christian education.
The co-authors of Leadership Essentials for Christian Ministries (Baker, 2026), Michael Anthony, Jim Estep, and Kevin Gushiken, will describe faithful Christ-centered leadership in connection to the many issues and challenges facing Christian education today and in the future.
A conversation related to the future of IACE and Christian Education is planned, with key representatives from the different sectors of the IACE network: Jennifer Marshall Patterson, representing IACE partners; Dondi Costin, representing comprehensive Christian universities; Barbara McMillin representing liberal-arts based Christian colleges; Rick Melson, representing urban institutions and Bible colleges; Phil Alsup, representing gap-year programs; Felix Theonugraha, representing seminaries; and Tom Stoner, representing K-12 schools.
Legal scholar Greg Baylor will once again join the annual conference to provide updates and insights on key issues facing Christian higher education.
