Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Field Equipment Operations is responsible for assisting the Supervisor of Field Equipment Operations with responsibilities across all field equipment, including but not limited to check-out/in operations as well as equipment inventory/care for both the Snyder School of Cinema & Media Arts and specific degrees within the School of Fine Arts and Communication (“SOFAC”). Responsibilities include layout of field equipment packages, purchase schedules, barcoding and cataloging, kit configuration, and maintenance to ensure that equipment vital to students within the Snyder School of Cinema & Media Arts and the School of Fine Arts and Communication continues to be available to educated students while utilizing industry standard equipment.

● Hours Per Week: 40+ (Professional Staff, Full-Time, On and Off Campus Responsibilities)
● Months Per Year: 12
Hiring Range: $23.85 - 27.01 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
●Responsible for barcoding and cataloging all new equipment in a rapidly growing inventory of nearly 9,000 items.
●Create repacking guides for the end user to help minimize loss and damage.
●Maintain equipment kit organization ensuring equipment is in good working order and has all necessary accessories to operate.
●Work within Cheqroom inventory management system to correct quantities and ensure kit descriptions are up to date. Troubleshoot system irregularities.
●Improve physical organizational structure of current equipment room
●Assist in development of organizational structure for new equipment room
●Process equipment loss and damage tickets. Perform immediate repairs, send to the manufacturer for in-warranty claims, or suggest replacement.
●Front line management of student appeals: lost equipment, damaged equipment, late returns, extenuating circumstances.
●Assist Supervisor of Field Equipment with on campus equipment repairs.
●Responsible for making repair/parts runs as necessary for the maintenance of equipment.
●Responsible for Equipment Room organization, workflow, and maintenance
●Assist Supervisor of Field Equipment Operations with completion of yearly physical inventory.
●Maintain mid-year inventory updates and equipment history for retired items
●Research and solve inventory discrepancies
●Keep current on industry trends in new equipment, research user experience, and suggest new purchases
●Other duties as assigned
Customer Service
●Provide technical support for a high volume of students, faculty, and staff
●Assist faculty to arrange for equipment reservations to meet in class educational requirements.
●Assist with approval and reservations of student allocations pending approval in Cheqroom inventory management system
●Research and development of improved workflows for checkout efficiency
●Assist with Cheqroom student account creation and updates
●Other duties as assigned
Field Equipment Training
●Assist with in person training seminars for students on use and safety of advanced level field equipment
●Assist in development of online training seminar production and post production for advanced level equipment
●Assess student aptitude of concepts taught within advanced training of equipment

●Able to work together with Supervisor of Field Equipment Operations, or independently as assigned
●Excellent verbal and written communication skills
●Able to manage, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
●Audiovisual and film production equipment support experience required
●Strong multimedia background
●Construction experience preferred
●Must believe in and demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with Biola’s Doctrinal Statement and Standard of Conduct
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to …
•Lift, carry, push and or pull boxes and containers up to 75 pounds.
•Operate and repair electronic equipment, requiring significant finger dexterity actions.
•Sit, stand, kneel, bend, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
•Have vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
•May be required to operate in close quarters, crawl spaces, small rooms, and narrow aisles.
EDUCATION
● Bachelor’s degree preferred.
● Professional certifications (Manufacturer Specific Training - ARRI RED Sony) preferred.
