Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

DESCRIPTION: The CACREP Accredited Corban University Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program prepares student counselors for licensure. Our two-year hybrid (part online and part in-person) master’s in clinical mental health counseling program follows a cohort model and prepares students for clinical counseling practice in agencies, nonprofits, community mental health centers, hospital and residential treatment programs, faith-based programs, churches and in private practice. Graduates of our program are also prepared to apply to doctoral programs in counseling, counselor education and supervision, or other counseling related educational programs.

RESPONSIBLITIES: Primary responsibility is teaching graduate courses in clinical mental health counseling The position may also include supervision and CACREP responsibilities. The successful candidate must teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university’s Statement of Faith. Other duties include academic advising, student research advising/mentoring, curriculum and program development, and university and departmental committee work. Corban University faculty are expected to be active scholars, excellent teachers, active in service to the university and the community, and able to model the integration of faith and learning.

Job Requirements:
Education: Doctorate in the Counselor Education and Supervision is preferred. Individuals should be able to fulfil CACREP core faculty requirements.

Experience: Candidates should possess experience teaching at a college level as well as clinical experience and licensure (LPC, LMFT). Candidate should have strong teaching and leadership skills and active participation in professional organizations is preferred.

Character: Candidates must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the University’s statement of faith, be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of counseling and be willing to invest themselves in the development of graduate students.
